It’s located near the Ozarks in Arkansas, which makes it a great stop on a larger adventure.

Sylamore Creek Camp

At Sylamore Creek Camp, you can swim in the eponymous creek, view the Ozark National Forest, and travel to nearby Mountain View or the Blanchard Springs Cavern. Not a tent kind of person? The Sylamore Creek Camp also offers RV sites and cabins to make your roughing it a bit less rough.

Dismals Canyon Conservatory

If you like the idea of primitive camping, head to Dismals Canyon Conservatory. The campgrounds enhance the pristine natural state of the park and offer relaxing privacy. The main attraction, of course, are the Dismalites — glow-in-the-dark creature that light up the canyon at night.
