We’re trying and failing to be patient for the all-new Hyundai KONA

Hyundai is teasing us once again with a seductive sneak-peek at the all-new Hyundai KONA, scheduled for launch later this summer.

As if we auto nerds at Gossett Hyundai South weren’t already tempted, this quick glimpse has exposed a unique and attractive fascia with a “Cascading Grille” and dramatic twin headlamps; a promisingly fresh take for Hyundai on their classic design elements. The head-turning design of the Hyundai KONA is both aesthetic and practical; drivers will have increased visibility from a more comfortable seated position behind the wheel thanks to the new crossover’s thoughtful engineering.

Set to be the automaker’s first B-segment SUV, we have a feeling that the all-new Hyundai KONA is going to make a big splash in the sub-compact market.

The Hyundai KONA is named after the renowned beach district on the Big Island of Hawaii, carrying on Hyundai’s practice of naming crossovers after famous landmarks and destinations, such as Santa Fe or Tucson. We can’t wait to see how the all-new Hyundai KONA draws further inspiration from its Hawaiian namesake — at the very least, we better be able to fit our surfboards (i.e. boogie boards) in the back!
